Dominican Broadcasting Day

On 23 July, the Dominican Republic celebrated the Dominican Broadcasting Day, established by Decree No. 3874 on 9 August 1969.

This date is particularly significant as it also marks the anniversary of the establishment of our Institutional Member, the Dominican Association of Broadcasters (ADORA), founded in 1967.

The day commemorates and celebrates the history, development and impact of radio as an essential means of communication in the country's history.

On behalf of the International Association of Broadcasting (IAB), we would like to join ADORA in celebrating this important day and express our gratitude to all media outlets and their employees for their unwavering commitment to defending freedom of expression.
